Studio Policy

Tuition

Tuition fees are the same every month and are due on the 1st of each month.
Tuition can be paid via e-transfer to rachelloertsmusic@gmail.com, by cheque made out to Rachel Loerts, or by cash at the last lesson of the month.
Tuition is the cost of 36 lessons plus materials divided over 10 months/38 weeks from September to June.
This leaves 2 extra “flex” weeks that are not paid for and can be used by either the student or the teacher in case of absences. If the first flex week is not used by the end of February, the last lesson of February will be cancelled. If the second flex week is not used by the end of June, the last lesson of June will be cancelled.
Lessons in July and August are optional.
I do not provide makeup lessons.

36 weekly lessons (over 38 weeks) from September to June.
All books, sheet music, and lesson resources that the student needs.
Guitar students: 1 restring per year.
Original sheet music arrangements when sheet music is not available to purchase. This is unique to our business as most teachers do not do this.
Personalized lesson videos as needed.
Ability to contact your instructor with questions throughout the week.
Please note: I do not respond to emails on Fridays and Saturdays.

I am sensitive to scents, so please refrain from wearing perfume/cologne/body spray.

Please give 10 days notice before the end of the month if you wish to withdraw from lessons.

If a student or someone in their household is sick, we ask that they and anyone else coming into the house wear a mask.

If you are going to be absent please let Rachel know as soon as possible.
If a student is ill but feeling up to their lesson they can have an online lesson or “no-singing” voice lesson

If there is bad weather, in-person lessons will be moved online for that day.

Online lessons are available in cases of inclement weather, illness, or inability to attend in person.
If you wish to change your in-person lesson to an online lesson, please give Rachel/Rob a minimum of 1-hour notice.
